I passed a house that has recently swapped out their tattered Trump 2020 flag for a brand new Trump 2024 campaign flag. I've seen this design for sale online, but this was the first time I'd seen it actually in the wild on a flagpole.

The flag features a black field with a thin, red inner border, broken at the top and bottom by four small red stars. Inside the border is the word "TRUMP" in large, white capital letters, sitting just above the vertical center of the field. Below the name are two lines of text in smaller lettering. The first line has the year "2024" in white digits centered with four red stars toward the hoist and another four toward the fly. Below this line are the words "F_CK YOUR FEELINGS." in white lettering, including the punctuation at the end, and substituting a capital U for the _ that I've written here.

This flag was seen in the wild this past week. A house in Louisa County, Virginia, has flown a number of flags supporting Donald Trump for president. We saw the latest entry for this collection on Tuesday. The flag takes its cue from the popular sayings used by the supporters of those who lost elections: "Don't blame me, I voted for [name of losing candidate]." These are most often seen in the form of bumper stickers on cars and pickup trucks, but this is the first time I can remember seeing one in the form of a flag, and clearly marks the individual flying the flag as an ardent supporter of that particular political candidate.

The flag follows the basic pattern of many Trump campaign flags, with a blue field, a thin red inner rectangle acting as an orle, with the red line broken at the top and bottom by five white stars in each location. In the center of the flag, contained within the orle are the words "DON'T BLAME ME | I VOTED FOR | TRUMP" in white, capital, sans serif lettering across three lines.

This flag capitalizes on a televised faux pas during last year's NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. The winner of the Sparks 300 race on 2 October 2021 was a young driver from Virginia named Brandon Brown. During the post-race interview on the track, the fans closest to the reporter and camera crew began chanting, "F*ck Joe Biden." The reporter doing the interview, either in an attempt to conceal what was actually being chanted or because she herself was unable to hear it properly, noted on-air that the crowd was congratulating the race winner by chanting, "Let's go, Brandon." Since then, the slogan "Let's go, Brandon," has become a watchword and hidden slur used by the politically far-right, and in particular by supporters of former President Trump. And it has now, apparently, been re-created in flag form. This flag design matches the pattern used by many of the Trump 2016, Trump 2020, and now Trump 2024 flags, featuring a blue field with five white stars centered at the top and five more at the bottom, and a thin red rectangle connecting them. In the center of the rectangle are the words "LET'S GO" and "BRANDON" in large, white, capital letters.

This flag was previously mentioned by Esteban Rivera in an E-mail from 19 January 2021 regarding anti-Biden flags. Esteban included a photo from the Amazon sales webpage for the flag, but this past Tuesday was the first time that I'd actually seen one in the wild. True to Esteban's description, this is a "black (or dark blue) horizontal flag, displaying on top the word FUCK and below the word BIDEN, both in white capitals, with five white five-pointed stars on top and bottom and above the bottom stars in small capitals, a slogan 'AND FUCK YOU FOR VOTING FOR HIM' (we acknowledge the fact that offensive vocabulary is displayed and it is only mentioned here for the purpose of describing a flag and not intended to offend anyone in particular)."

This is a simple flag in the general vein of the Trump candidacy flags, featuring a dark blue field with words inside a thin, red outline of a box punctuated at the top and bottom by five white stars each. Centered within the box on the dark blue field are the words "TRUMP WON" in large, white, capital letters for the name and large, red, capital letters for the word "WON."

The simplest design I've seen yet among Trump supporters, this flag features white letters on a red field. In this case, the name "TRUMP" in large, capital letters, above the words "IS MY PRESIDENT" in smaller capital letters.

Back to the typical Trump campaign flag design with the dark blue field and the thin, red outline of a box--this time with seven small red stars at the bottom of the box. At the center of the dark blue field is the name "TRUMP" in large, white, capital letters, above the year "2024" in red numbers, flanked by red stars. Below the year, in a white rectangle, are the words "MAKE VOTES COUNT AGAIN" in dark blue capital letters, referencing the debunked claim that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen by the Biden campaign as part of a vast conspiracy against Trump.

Flag/banner noticed outside former U.S. President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, US, c. March 20, 2023. On the flag there are two dates: "2024" referring to his comeback presidential campaign in 2024, and "1776" referring to the year that the U.S. declared its independence from Great Britain. On the flag there is the slogan "Trump or Death", which mimics the 1776 U.S. Revolutionary War flags that carried the slogan "Liberty or Death", which originated from a fiery(treasonous) speech given by the revolutionary firebrand Patrick Henry who allegedly implored: "Give me liberty or give me death" at a March 23, 1775 convention at St. John's Church in Richmond, Virginia. Trump's image appears in the middle of the flag. The red field/background of this flag may refer to the color of the Republican Party as displayed on election-eve graphics on television election-return programs, while blue is used to identify Democrat Party candidates. The color red is also frequently associated with "revolutionary" movements. Then again, the colors in this flag may simply reflect the homage to the U.S. flag as "The old, red, white and blue".

The following flags were seen during Trump's supporters' rallies along Southern Boulevard in West Palm Beach and outside his Florida residence right before and even the same day as he traveled on April 3 to his arraignment before the Manhattan District Attorney's office on the afternoon of April 4, as part of a current pending criminal case formally labeled "The People of the State of New York v. Donald J. Trump".
